lever it open with a big screwdriver or a crowbar. or try to pull apart the dash to get to the glove box from the inside.

sometimes the mechanism just gets stuck. Ya just hold gentle turning pressure on the key while you wiggle it up and down and in and out slightly. Dont try forcing it that just bends things. Bugger of a problem.:)

underneath the g/box are two golden looking bolts, take them out and see if you can just pull the box down enough to take out what you want from underneath.

Alternatively try picking the lock, its not really that hard on such a simple tumbler lock, just need a small flat head screw driver to keep pressure on the tumbler and get some 8 gauge fence wire (or other wire which would be as strong) bend into a gentle 20 degree curve about an inch from the end (make it about 4" long) and just rake at the pins until it opens (take pressure off the tumbler after each unsuccessful rake and reapply before having another chop) I had to do this once to get into an old tool box i locked and lost the keys too, took about 2 mins max and they were 8 pin padlocks, the glovebox wouldn't be any harder than that.
