My trip computer display (top centre console section of dash) has been going on the blink lately. Only seems to happen at night with lights on. I can't tell if it's just the back-light or if it is actually going off, cos I can't see any display. It seems OK during the day though. Any ideas ? Is there a light bulb in there somewhere, easy to get at?

not sure what the problem is but there are three bulbs that operate the backlight. they go in vertically under the display unit. you will need to take out the centre vent assembly to access. these lights dim automatically when headlights are turned on. they are a wedge type bulb similar size to a lot of park lights...not sure of wattage tho. they have a screw turn base to get them out.
there are two screws holding the unit in, and a locator at the back. there is a flat wiring plug connentor at the back as well....maybe it is loose??????
