Hi there from a guy about to buy his first Mitsubishi product (Actually, Mum had a GH Sigma back in the eighties that I drove on P plates).
I am about to buy a 1999 KH Verada Ei Wagon.
One problem with the car I'm buying. The Temperature Needle doesn't light up Red like the rest of the instrument needles. So it is sometimes difficult to see what the engine temperature reading is.
Mitsubishi have given me very bad news about the fix. They inform me that it will take $2500 to replace the whole instrument cluster! I refuse to believe that this is the only way to repair it.
I reckon that someone must know how to fix it. Anyone with knowledge of this problem and a great (cheaper) fix?
I am happy to remove the cluster to have a look for myself. Must be a dead LED/globe or electronic circuit/component. Does anyone have knowledge about the Verada instrument cluster setup?
Any good advice greatly accepted.
Regards,
Rob :)
