Hello guys the in dash speakers are annoying me, sound bad, distort etc, now what i plan to do is for the moment put speakers in the front doors, i have 6 inch 65w sansui's i used to have in the rear 2 years ago before my 6x9's went in, and they sounded well, now what i want to ask is, will these be at least a little bit better then the in dash speakers?

Anything would be better than the stock 4" paper cones, lol.

Then again, those paper cones can handle a 50W Head Unit, and not sound distorted!

yeah its just when they have to compete with my 420watt 6x9's only amped at 222watt i would like somehting chunkier in the front just as a stop gap measure.

ok i have no idea what figures you guys are working from, but their is no way the 4" stock speakers can handle 50w RMS without distorting, and 460w speaker is 460w PEAK POWER which is one useless meaurement, its a marketing thing to make ti sound like they can handle more, i'd say the 460w peak power speakers would be around 150w RMS or less as they are 6x9". If the speakers your talking about are 65w RMS then yes they will sound way better, and regardless they will be better, the stock 4" speakers are about 15w RMS from memory and the stock rears are 25w RMS which sound way better. It would be a good move to change them over to 6" speakers in doors then eventually save up and replace them, i have 6.5" speakers i'm trying to fit in my doors atm, they are 150w rms and will be way better then my ONE and only 4" 15w rms speaker.
