View Full Version : No Heat
Now thats its starting to get a bit chilly (in tassie anyway) ive needed to start using my heater. But for some reason there doesnt seem to be any warm air coming out of the vents, having to wear a beanie in the car to keep warm sucks
Is there something obvious that im missing/forgot to reattach after doing a hu install, or is there someway of checking whether or not something is broken?
Cheers.

there's a cable that goes under the drivers footwell that opens and closes an air valve via a set of white nylon gears and cogs for your heat - its below and beside the one you'd have removed for the top air vents. The heater in the Magna is always on as such, its the air valve that allows heat in or blocks it - so yeah - check for that cable.
Im not quite sure which one youre talking about, as far as i can see there are only two. The one circled in yellow being for the top air vents and the one in red coming from the vent selector
The heater fuse seems to be alright too.

Just athought !
Have you turned the knobs on the dash to the red part... like turned the air con off ?
I have a constant flow of cool air comming thu my vents and the vent from out side opens at speeds above 140 ks

Yes most definately, and i hardly ever go at speeds above 140 to warrant that problem :)

hahaha Just checking... stranger things have happened like a mate was bleeding his brakes and asked his better half to pump the brake pedal.... after stuffing around for ages not being able to get preasure up in the brakes he discovered she was pumping the cluch... !!! ! Boy wasnt there a few choice words said !
Thats why i ask the simple questions first !
See you !

I believe its deeper in than that - the one you've marked in RED is the direction flap I think - see if that moves when you change the air direction rotary knob. Turn the Heat knob while you're under there and see if you can't see a third cable moving something.
maybe another small thing. you havent left the aircon button left on have u ?
caz it doesnt heat up when thats turned on

That pic was about as useful as a picture of your mum lol
Anyway after comparing to someone else's 3rd gen temperature control knob theres definately something missing on mine. Mine is rather 'easy' to turn whereas the other seemed to offer some resistance. Which means i'll have to take the console apart again :( (its too wet and cold outside to even walk to my car)
