i done a search but could'nt really find anything
just wondering if anyone knows how much and how hard it is to install the light that goes around where you put the key in
Ive heard that it is extremly hard. Mine stuffed up so got mitsu to replace it for me, $13 for part.. $50 for labour. But on a simular note, do TJ sports (Series 2) have these?? because wez's car doesnt and my TE does.

You're second gen, right?
Did this recently to my TS Executive. Found the parts at a wreckers, cost maybe $5. Unfortunately I didn't realise that the wires running to the light were easily disconnected (about a 20cm piece of loom) and connect to a plug that is ready and waiting in all 2nd gens, so I jury-rigged up my own source from the footwell light. Might find a proper cable tomorrow and redo it. Most are two-wire, but those with ETACS have 4 wires, two of will simply be redundant on a non-ETACS car.
Pull apart the steering column cover (5 screws), pull off the current ignition surround, screw in the new one, connect up the cable (might need to unscrew the lower panel, can't remember), reassemble, enjoy.
Mine now sports a red surround, soon to be modified to also act as an alarm flasher when the system is armed.

No, TJ2 sports do not, therefore I'd also be suprised if the VRX had it either (with the exception of the sunroof models - they appeared to have a different wiring harness and have a few interior light options.)
