hey all i need help wheneva i slam on my brakes or have my brakes on when i go up a drive way its clunks wht is it why is it clunkin when braking plz help i need to noe wht it is.

It may not be the brakes
but the cv joints
or the gearbox or differential you mention was failing in the other post

only other thing is the hub bearings

only an inspection of the brakes will determine the problem
brakes dont normally clunk

Buffy has said the most probable causes,
but if it is the brakes it would give a pulse or force back through the brake pedal, or make the car stear one way if it is a front brake.
Is there a grinding sound when you feather the brakes?

ur brakes,engine,trans,cv's(front drive shafts)and hud bearings(wheel bearings) are all at the front of ur car. also dont know about anyone else but i find it hard to read ur post and to under stand what u mean maybe a little less abbrevations would help. as for the clunk one of ur engine mounts might be stuffed, the brake discs might be warped also u might have a lose nut and bolt on ur brakes or suspenion. what u will want to do is jack up ur car and support it on stands then go over every nut and bolt to make sure its all tight. if its all tight look for signs of wear on anything mechanical. also while it jacked up grab ur front hub and lift up and down to see if theres any movment with ur suspeion (ie,rubber insulator worn on the strut). also put the road wheel back on the hub and lift that up and down to see if ur wheel bearings have any play in them. well thats my 2c for today, goode luck:D
