hey i was wondering if anyone has one of these in there cars and if they are any good.

i have an uncompatible headunit and have looked at the denison.com website and there is a fm link one that is compatible with every head unit. I was wondering if anybody had one of these and where abouts they got them from as the car kit company doesnt sell these ones?

Is there n e other options to connecting a ipod to a headunit other than those crappy fm transmitters. Ive heard you can connect them to amps. If so does it involve unplugging your headunit or are u able to run a cable from your amp to ur ipod without effecting other functions.

n e help would be great as i dont wanna have to buy a new headunit...

that FM transmitter one actually looks reasonable, as its not broadcasting a frequency, but transmitting straight into the antenna cable

This fully installed kit uses in-line FM modulation and plugs directly into the stereo headunit's antenna port. The antenna is then plugged into the Ice>Link modulator which automatically "disconnects" it when using the iPod. This ensures no interference from external sources.

so it should get better quality than the other ones, although i have used the FM transmitters at work (bastards disable the CD drives!) and it was also better than i expected.

although, you got me thinking, and for that price, i'd pay the extra and get one of these packages!!
