Hi,
Just driving in Freo just then, and when ever Im at a stop sign/traffic lights etc I can feel a "boom, boom" just like when you feel someones pulse and feel a "boom, boom", Im wondering if my car is telling me it needs a service. Plus when I got home and the car is on a angle I reved the car and the "check engine" light came on.

Hey guys !
If the light comes on its the computer warning you that their is a problem ! Like have you checked all the fluid levels (oil water trans fluid), filters, battery clamps is it over heating etc... and when was the last time you had the car professionly serviced ?
I have done 180,000ks in my 1998 TF 3L auto magna and service it every 5,000 ks (oil filter) and 10,000 major service and not once have I had a mechanical break down nor has the check engine lights come on except when you turn the key to "on" prior to starting the motor, then the computer does its checks and the lights turn off ! I also compete in a number of events here in Perth so I work the 3L hard ! You young kids maybe under servicing your cars as a few dollars now will save a fist full of dollars later !
My 2.6L astron powered TR magna did 208,000ks on the original engine with the original timming chain and was running fine when i traded it on the TF 5 years ago ! The astron has a problem if not service properly !

your car needs a service. mine has started doin that and it was doin that befor my last service. and about your engine light comming on when your car is on an angle the oil in the engine moves to one side so your car things theres no oil but u might wanna check you oil though.
Getting a full service this wednesday, been a year since last full service. But I might be getting a full service every 10000k's from now on.

My car is serviced every 5,000km's, and driven with care.
I dont have any lights coming on, just get that occasional 'heartbeat' at idle, as well as the infamous 3.5 rough idle.
I have felt newish Commodore's and falcon's do this as well, so don't think its a major drama in my case, but just more noticeable. Just thought someone might know the cause......
Mitsubishi checked and said all fine!!
