I hope you didn't pay much for it...

Not likely - not without the extractors, muffler, cams & head, either from another ralliart or aftermarket.

is that the one on ebay for like $400??

the seller stated that the ralliarts have 189 kw or something? which is crap..ralliarts have 180kw and thats only because they have minor engine mods for the ecu to accommodate

I have a brand new TJ exec (Part number MR507993) and TJ sports/vrx (Part Number MR 560273) ECU's in my box of goodies and they are more likely to give you a small (3-5kw) power increase than the ralliart one that you intend to fit, as you will be fitting it to a motor that doesnt have the cams and compression to warrant the changes in fuel and ignition mapping of the ralliart ECU.

Oh you wont be able to just bolt the ECU in that you have bought as the ECU needs to be unlocked and matched to the BEM/immobiliser unit in your car, so as it can read the start signal. All you will get if you bolt it in is a car that cranks over on the starter with the check engine light permanantly on.

Sorry to hear man, but i'm sure not all is lost! Try www.rpw.com.au and grab their price guide. Alternatively post up in the Philcom section here - http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28 There are a lot of helpful people around here. My suggestion for you at this point, would be to buy some cams and other gear off RPW and try to get as close to Ralliart specs as possible, maybe then the ECU will be worth it. If not, you could always try to flog it back off on Ebay.

The computer (MR560273) is for a manual 3.5 sports/vrx.

I emailed him, asking if he realised he was misleading people and if he realised the buyer would need cams, extractors etc etc and he never replied. So I reported it as a fraudulent listing to Ebay and they never responded either.
Im hoping you left a very negative feedback for him???

Just gotta be careful I guess.
