Hi,
Basically, Wez is stuck in no mans land atm, tire was flat decided to pull over and change it now no electrics in the car to start the engine, lights and crap still work though.
What could be the problem?

Couple of fuses to check:

Incar Fusebox: fuse 12 - ignition switch
Engine bay fusebox: fuse 19 - ignition switch

the selector is out of (D) i hope
also move the selector to (L) then to (P) a few times
work's for me

His is a TJ Sports (series 2) and says that he cant change from N to D unless he has his brakes on??? And he could of done something to the brakes when he took off his tire?

the car should still start in neutral if that's the issue here.

did he drop the car when he had the car tyre off or something like that, cause he might have trigggered the inertia switch

He sent me a sms saying that he pumped the brake a couple of times and got it to start after that.

this is new to me i can change gear selector without pressing the brake pedal.:think:


with the no electric to start issue it could be his battery going low. he might need a new one.

an inertia switch stops petrol from pumping if it senses a accident, small knocks might set it off or if the car is tilted quickly, but yeah anyway
