Ever since my subs went in, my parcel shelf has rattled like a *****. So finally i decided to get up off my arse and figure out why. I've found the problem, it's the actual plastic shelf bit vibrating against the edge of the 6x9 speaker grilles. As i do not want to remove the stock speaker grilles, i was thinking of putting a 5mm-10mm rubber hose around the speaker grilles edge in between the parcelf shelf. Would this work?

Yes, you have the right idea there. We usually just install a tonne of foam over the top of deadening like this door (it's not a parcel shelf but the concept is the same):

Not real pretty but it's very effective. :)

So you reckon foam cut to fit would work better than a small rubber hose? (i say hose because with the middle hollowed out it can flex with vibrations).
