View Full Version : slave cylinder gone !!!!!!!!
any one had their slave cylinder on their clutch decide to just stop working one day ??
turns out i had a nice leak in mine so had a fun time getting into gear today, once it was rolling it was fine, can change gears without clutch, just into first was the hardest part
seen a few go over time, in different cars though, did you notice your clutch was feeling odd as it started leaking more and more?
usualy dead simple to change, and then bleed them similar to bleeding brakes

yeh mine went about 12 months ago..
turns out the front seal decided to give in..
Dead easy to change.. you can do it in about a 1hour..
but make sure you bleed it properly..please!
nah just happened over night, went in the morning and it just had no clutch feeling
changed it all this arvo, cost me $55 to do
i just thought it was strange to just go all of a sudden, i think it actally slowly went and then just finally lost it

If you have to start a car with no clutch, either start in first, which may work or it may be too jumpy. The other way is to start winding it over in 2nd, as soon as it fires slip it into first.
I found that out driving around london.
