Hey I have a electrical problem in my car. The right indicator sometimes doesn’t work, it makes a buzzing noise and the I turn it off, on the second attempt it will normally turn on. As I said it doesn’t always happen, it only sometimes did and now it is happening more often.

Anyone got any idea what could it be?
Price to fix?

take off covers around upper steering column.

Unplug wiring loom near indicator stalk. (may need a thin screwdriver to separate)

Take out 2 screws holding indicator stalk assembly to steering column.

Take to a clean well lit work area.

Disassemble carefully noting how it all goes together.

Lightly clean contacts with a green kitchen scourer.

Reassemble put back in car.

Had same problem in KE verada.

This will solve problem and save around $300 for replacement indicator assembly.

before you spend $300 I would check the flasher relay ????

Nah it's the stalk, the buzzing noise is arcing because of bad contacts. Clean the contacts and it's all good.

dont worry about checking the flasher relay, it isnt that. if the relay was faulty, both left and right would have problems! also, the expensive stalk will be the one with the fog light switch on it.. ie verada, sports, vrx, etc.. make sure u get the correct one

some machanic said it was like 50, but i think it he said it was the relay. Other ones say 300-400 and it the stalk.

i booked it in with the 50 dollar machanic but i worried that he will say its the the other thing and charge me 450:doubt:

yeah i had same problem and ignored it cause all i hadto do was push down a bit harder and it stopped, now it doesnt buzz when indicator on but it buzzes when the damn indicators off!!!!! so annoying as it will not stop until i turn the indicator back on.... does anyone know weather that would be the same fix as above or up for a new stalk?
