View Full Version : HELP! removing intake manifold/phlenum

Right im tryin to remove my intake manifold ( the six big silver pipes joing tb and engine) and i just found this large gold pipe coming into it at the rear, anyone know what it is/ if i can remove it without getting some kind of fluid all over me?

yep it fine, just take it off. its the EGR - exhaust gas recirculation pipe that connects to the headers.
btw be carefull when putting the bolts back in for it becuase the plenum aluminium is so soft...

Ahaaa i had found that iprimus site on the rpw page but on that one the picturs dont expand so i was stuck.

Thanks guys! i got it off and am waiting for it to dry now, i'll put pics up when im done

heatproof stuff from super cheap...its like $10 and one can did all four of my calipers and that...

I am but in going to try and pick out the raised writing in black on the white, ithink it will look preety schmick
