Hi all - i have dissapeared off the face of the internet mainly becasue my little beastie wasnt giving me nay trouble, right up until last weekend.
I drove it friday and everything was fine however when i went to drive it saturday morning the speedo and cruise dont work anymore? Now as both of them went as the saem time i am assuming they are related. What could cause this - i haev checked all the fuses i know about and thye are all not broken. However in the previous week the cd player that i put in was not turning off with the ignition, now the biggest problem with this is that it was done proerly i.e. i used one of those Aerpro connector things and everyhting lined up fine and dandy and it was in for at least a month before these problems started happening so over to you guys - i am out of ideas...
btw for those of you who dont know i have a TP SE Man 2.6.

'Just looking at that diagram makes me think that it is all connected - if i fix the speedo it will turn the CC back on because as far as the CC is concerned the isnt moving at all.... so i will have a gander under there tommrow mornign and see which type it is

im guessing either the speedo cable snaped, or if you have an elite the pulse gens died
and yes the cruise runs off the speedo, well actually if its not an elite it runs off of the reed switch in the dash cluster and the reed switch makes pulses from the speedo cable, if elite the pulse gens send the speed straight to the cruise

Well its a SE but with all the power options(pretty much everything the ELite had without the electric dash) so therefore i assume its a snapped speedo cable. Any ideas what these babies are worth? Also as im there already should i try an fix the sticky accellerator prbolem by buying both new acc cables as well - any idea how much these would cost?

How exactly do i tell if its the cable or the gear in the box? i mean if its either it wont be turning anyway will it? And how hard is it to get to (the cog in the box)?
