hey,

This is my first post in the forum so I think i'll just start by introducing myself, I'm New South Welshman and am driving a '97 magna TE.

Onto my question, I'm looking to improve the performance of my car by adding K&N pod air filter, I saw the one on the main site that was part of the Tech tips (the one that was made with the MAS unit in mind) and was wondering if anyone knew the part number for that?

Secondly does anyone here have any advice on other upgraded that I should have done first off? (I'm abit of a novice at the moment in terms of what parts I should upgrade first)

Thanks in advance

Well first and formost if you really want a pod filter make sure you get a Oval shaped one, as a round one will swirl the air confusing the MAF sensor,

next invest in $30 worth of pipe and a $10 plumming adapter, and make yourself a Cold air Intake, CAI, do a search for it.

in terms of power out of a NA engine, its more air/fuel in and more exaust out.

so your next bet would be a muffler Lukey LR2779 i think it is. you dont need cat back piping as magnas come standerd with 2.25 inch which is plenty.

do that and if your still not happy, then try some extractors, pacemakers headers, there all the same thing, just try and find some with equal primeries.

If you get the filter, you may also want to consider Barry's fuel rail kit to stop the flat spot in acceleration too :)
