Does anyone know where to get service manuals for the TJ's from? Are there any copies online that anyone has found?

The Gen Mitsu TH/KH TJ/KJ workshop manual is in cd form about 70 meg worth of files in PDF format.
Give me your Email Address and we'll take it from there.
Any one else interested let me know as a blank CD is pretty cheap.

Ok I have uploaded the Manual to My HTTP server.. http://203.113.211.205
The address will change from time to time so ALWAYS check this POST to see current address.
My upload is 128kb the actual CD is 150mb in size..
I have created a backup CD Image using Nero...
You will need nero to burn it to a CD.

and then WinRard that file into smaller 14mb files so you can use something like getright to help download.
winrar is also on my site... and getright and nero can be downloaded from the web

Well I'm upto part 4 but to many downloading now and I can't get part 5

I think if you want to control it give address by e-mail as I think a few will download without letting you know clogging up your server.

Well in that case Ill put it back to FTP only!

So can you please tell me which file you are up to... and Ill remove the rest and put them on the FTP part... then email me for Address and Password...

Ill leave HTTP up for a little bit longer until You tell me were you are up to.

It may be quite slow, especially if a lot of you guys start leeching. On the other hand.. it may be quite fast.. I'm not sure how it is lately since I'm on dialup and it's all the same to me :) It's usually capped at 8 KB/s.

lol well I dunno how it's going for you guys.. I've noticed about 200 meg of transfers in the logs over 2 days.. seems to be a lot of partial transfers.. is it dropping out a lot or anytihng like that?

Anyway.. it was just a different way to get it.. an alternative to TBuTcher and to take the load off of him. Any good download client will get it all eventaully..

Well i got all 150MB of it fine - first time too. I downloaded all nine files at once - maxing out my 512K link in the process!

EDIT: Just went to unzip it...corrupt :(

Each file is suppose to be 14MB, but since I downloaded all files at once, something must've killed the downloads, and I only ended up with 9MB files.

Nup, just IE. I tried to download some of the files again tonight, but it kept on failing.

I'll try again tomorrow with a download manager :)

you could make a copy of the ones you have... and then when using getright or something... use the continue/update option.. if worried change the setting in getright to have "rollback" to be 50-100kb insteadof 4k ... this might get rid of any bad stuff at the end of the file that could have been corupted...
Also once you have the 14mb files and if they are still currupted... I will post some PAR .. (parity files .. to fix them)

Yeah it's no big deal it's not working...I've got plenty of GB's so I'll just download it again :)

Thanks to Haydn's help I got the files however had trouble reading them or getting the setup to run, DVS Magna suggested I use alcohol120% to re compile them, i did this and now they are working a treat.
For those in Vic, if you are wanting a copy, let me know via e-mail and I will burn a copy and bring it to the next cruise. (that is of Haydn dosn't mind lol)

Just goto http://www.thehammer.net/magna/
And DownLoad Parts 1-9
then Download Winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar33b4.exe
then Download Nero 6 from
ftp://ftp.us.nero.com/nero6300.exe
install WinRar... Install Nero...
After you have Downloaded Everything and installed the two programs you can then double click on Part 1, and Winrar will "unzip" it to a directory you choose.
then you run nero and "open" an existing image ... you can at this point either burn the CD to a blank disc or just copy all the files to a new directory on your Hdd and then install from there.

I would recommend downloading the service manual in my signature. It is more updated than the one you have downloaded from carpdf as it also includes the TL/KL in addition to the TH-TJ/KH-KJ.

However, if you wish to persist with the one you have downloaded, I believe the password is "carpdf.net"

That 3rd gen PDF would most likely be close enough for the TF yes? Just don't see the model listed but from memory the TF and TH where more or less the same.
