I decided to replace the crap blueish material that surrounds the door handle on my TR with some white vinyl.
Here's a comparison between the old and new stuff

....and now it matches my dials

Opinions??
Thanks
Looks good, but methinks it won't stay white for very long.

Yeah, I know. That's what everyone keeps telling me, but I don't care.

yeah i've kicked mine a few times down the bottom, but honestly its 5 times easier to do the bottom, cause you just need a staple gun and some short staples, 4 minutes its done.
But the top looks really good!:D

Hey, beat me to it, have just finished mine on my TF... very exciting. Looks great with the dials- now do your console too. Mine's done but without the white face dials and it changes the whole interior of the car. Great job!

I was thinking about doing that to my TJ. Is it hard to pull apart the door trim.....and then put it back together?

nah, just take out all the screws you can see, and well with the TR trim, you just rip the f**ker off, and glue it back on:D

I thought someone may ask this, so I took pics while I was doing it. I'll post a "How To" later.

mate its very very simple, have you ever taken off a door trim before?
there should be a how to in the 2nd gen section for that
but after you get the trim off you just rip the plastic insert bit off, rip off the material and cover it with what you want...probably have to stick the material back down with glue
