As the title suggests, i need some help off someone who knows a bit about car stereo installing. Im half way through installing a pioneer head unit into my gf's holden astra but i've ran into a slight problem.. the aereal cable that goes into the back of the head unit doesn't fit the socket in the back of the head unit! (completely different design) So obviously i need a new connecter thing that will fit into the new head unit, so where do you get that? And is it difficult to wire up to the existing cable for someone like me who has only a very loose idea of what he's doing?

any help would be good, cheers

Should be able to get some sort of adapter, have you tried autobarn or even calling up holden?
Could possibly be because it's a european car and they use different connectors?
Maybe try looking for a euro to aussie antenna adapter?
Just throwing ideas at you :).

very very wierd indeed. Marty from Fhrx studios might be able to tell you as he has probably done some Astras in his time.

You need an adapter.
Not very expensive.
Jaycar, JB HIFI etc all have them.
