Hey ladz,
thinking of putting anotehr muffler on my car, look at either a xForce PT01 or X02 (or whatever its called) they are both mufflers with twin 3 inch dumper tips....
for each of them i was quoted $400 fitted,
that seems a bit much, or is it?
does anyone have eother of these mufflers on their 3.5 manual?
what do they sound like?
would i be better off getting a Magnaflow from Philcom??

phillcom sell xforce too
xforce are a bit dearer yes but the sound quality of it is pretty good
with cheap mufflers the inside tend to crumple a bit and make a dirty kinda noise
sounds alright to me, mine was $430 fitted
if you want to hear it let me know, i just have the rear muffler changed to the xforce

430 sounds a bit much. i just got my xforce PEX12 (5x8inch rather than 6x9inch pt01 but same price i think) from philcom a few weeks ago for $225 and cost $100 to get it installed at rob bliss here in brisbane and that included getting some new piping fitted up to where it joins above the rear axel as well.
yeah i guess getting it just from an exhaust shop would cost more because they would mark up the muffler as well, maybe get the muffler then take it to the shop to have fitted,
I will try get the recording in the next few days.
oh with the sound, it is not to lound, but stick you foot into it and it gives a very good sound. it was only a few days ago i needed to quickly get infront of a van and the sound bouncing off the van was much louder that in the car, so th sounds good in the car and is loud out side. just how you want it.

i got my xforce Pt01 from philcom and then had it fitted by an exhaust shop at mates rates.
if they do a proper job with brackets and good welds i'd expect to pay between $80-$120.
here's an audio clip of my 3.5ltr TH with pacemakers and xforce PT01 muffler
