its like driving a completely new car, i dont care about what any body else thinks but manuals are sooooo much more fun.

i budgeted for under 4500 and got under that, i did nothing just sat back and watched, only had to source the parts and that was it, u could easily go under that figure if u did the work u'r self or got someone u know to do it.

most mechanics didnt want to know about it, because of the electrical side but theres nothin major that needs to be done.

all up took 3wks in the workshops, but there were alot of delays with parts not arriving and stupid stuff like that, but 2 wks would be more than enough. if u find a mecanic wit no work at the time 1 wk could be possible off the road.

whooaaa, yeah i've been thinking about this too. but hey, i don't have a verada in the first place..

what was done electrically? new ecu? piggy bakc? a new one? engine management, abs, immobiliser, climate control, etc. all that stuff still work?

did u just use a standard 5sp manual 3rd gen g/box?

no new ecu needed, shorted the inhibitor switch and hooked up the reverse lights and thats it, ohhhh yeah and im getting the cruise done by a sparky i like my factory cruise too much, just need another sensor for the clutch pedal.

i couldnt tell u exactly how to do it coz a electrician did mine, im way to lazy, and i gotta work to pay it off.

Good on ya for getting it done and good luck with your Verada. Atleast now you can say you are the only GENIII Verada owner in the country with a manual transmission (I havn't heard of anyone else getting it done).

By the way what manual transmission did you get put in? Was it one out of the standard Magna or ????

someone on this forum once said something about the australian CEO of mitsubishi getting a custom made manual verada. dunno how true that is.

oh, wheelspin and burnouts on 20s...that would be nice. and how much is a 20" tyre?

man the rada is so good it pulls harder than a 14 y/o boy with a hand full of hustler magazines

i never thought second gear could be so good lol, it was an interesting task sourcing parts but now that i have done it once next time should be easy (looks at ralliartgal)

The actual count is now Three (3). Remember Rhino did a manual conversion on his auto 3.0TF 2-3 years ago. :P

I worked at Mitsubishi for 21 years and I can tell you that NO CEO ever had a manual Verada.
There were a couple of special Magna's with 17" and 18" wheels added and then these had been lowered (King Springs).
The last special magna was for the Vice President and it had a the new 3.8 litre motor put into it (basically 3.8 block & pistons with 3.5 heads and exhaust manifolds) with 18" Momo wheels and was lowered 35mm....and was painted in that Harlequin paint...looked and OK.

There are always a few engineering hack jobs getting around with modified running gear.

cheers

lets not turn this into another manual debate, its all about the verada. . . . . . . . . . . verada being the key word here.

hahaha lol i hope this installs some more confidence in the guys out there who were a bit iffy about converting, just goes to show if a verada can convert theres no reason why a magna cant do it, or for that matter someone to follow in my footsteps with another verada.

Who is debating, I think everyone acknowledges the benefits of a manual transmission lol
