i'm going to get either a set of Pioneer tsa699s 6x9 480watt 5 ways
or a set of Sony 4 way 400watt xsgt6947..
the pioneer's are much!!! higher spec but i hear sony is the best for speakers:confused:

u hear sonys r good speakers? umm majority here would probably disagree with that statement. good if u want good looking red things :) bad if ur looking at a quality speaker ;) looked into other brands, or just the usual pioneer and sony? and something tells me those wattage figures are peak power, not rms...

umm now days sony makes s@hit speakers n they don't even have the looks and they low on base n it depends which 6x9 pioneer speakers u get. Yeh, stick with the pioneer mate.

Also, be weary of how many "ways" a speaker has. So it's splitting the signal 4 or 5 ways... but remember, a good set of component speakers will only have 2, or 3 drivers.

You dont need all these 'ways'... The thing with these type of speakers is that so many little drivers sitting over the main mid-bass driver, is going to block sound, and plus the mid-bass driver can also distort the smaller drivers mounted directly above it.

yeh get those ones they pump hard out one of mate got them. They give prety gud base n music just get gud amp n run them n it would shake ur car:)

And also if u want to get complate sound n kick ass sound get TS-C16OR splits i got tehm in my magna just love them

the splits are a bit expensive but if u want u can buy em off the ebay u can get em cheaper from there

i have those 6x9's in my car along with the pioneer top end splits all working off a crossfire amp and they go hard

i got some old kenwood splits ill give them a shot see how goes
