Well stage two has happened, i.e. i got bored and there was some paint nearby...... ( i didnt think i was bored enough to invert the colours on the oil cap plus i didnt have a brush small enough)
Next stage is gonna be hoses and leads, must hide or pretty-fy them...

Unique! Very cool!!
First impression was like "Not sure how to react" but then it worked into a "looks sweet!" thought :D

Neat and tidy guys, I have seen very bad maintained Engine Bays when I was out hunting for a Magna. Nice work.

you sure about that, i thought the Cruise Control was all handled up by the TB via some nifty vacuum lines... behind the washer bottle looks more like the washer fluid motor (the pump that gets the fluid up through the nozzles and onto your windshield)

Yes, were sure. Those nifty vacuum tubes have to go somewhere.
The little motor for the washer jets is hidden away somewhere else in the car.

The washer motor is fitted to the side of the windscreen washer bottle, down the bottom. Wagons have two motors (useful if you need to fit washers on headlights etc).
I like the idea of painting the intake manifold - mine lived close to a beach at some stage of its life so the manifold looks a bit corroded. Silver or black would look nice :) Not corroded white.
How would you go keeping a white engine bay clean ~ mechanics are dirty buggers.
Cheers

Yeap the motor is with the washer motor guys not hidden away if you take a closer look.
Its hard to keep the Engine Bay clean, but I take the effort to wipe it out once a month.
There is nothing much I would do to the extractors, or pipes etc... as they do turn colour. But the rest of my Engine bay is kept clean as possible even after an oil change or ATF change for the matter. Thus when you sell the car is also very easy as you maintained the car well.
I have seen Blake's car Engine bay photos and they were one of the nicest too. Not sure how they are now though. lol

UMM its just supercheaps own heat resistant paint, the heat resistant bit is very important, this stuff cures itself above 200 deg making it hard as nails once its been used once.
All i did was remove the parts, there are guides for removing the intake manifold
here (http://home.iprimus.com.au/pjmorris/spark%20plug/spark%20plug%20change.htm)
stick it on some carboard, tape up all the holes and spray them up, its 5 mins per coat the after about 4 coats it takes 30-35mins to be touch dry, make sure you wash ur hands before u touch it and have a clean rag to handle it with, thats it.
Total time so far excluding painting, maybe 2 hours if i was pushing it, if you have a second pair of hands..especially with intake manifold you could halve that.
