On saturday arvo, my bro was driving my car when it started to refuse to stay in 5th gear, even with pressure on the shifter. then he parked it nose down hill and discovered that reverse gear cant be selected at all. Now before the "must be engine mounts" starts, the mounts for the shifter cables are mounted to the box itself, so the angle of the motor shouldnt matter, and it has new mounts. Does this sound internal to anyone? And does anyone know what a reco box is worth?

If 5th and rev are in the same gate you may just have a selector problem...:)
