Hello everyone.

My wife and I just bought a 2004 TL wagon which we planned to put on gas.

We have subsequently found that due to new emission laws from 2004 onwards, any gas kit put on a specific model/engine needs to pass emission testing which costs an extra $1,500. Once a kit has been passed, it can be used on any engine of the same type without having to pass the emission testing again.

Has anyone had experience with a gas kit brand for this model that has already passed testing?

There is only 3 or 4 Oz manufacturers of LPG conversions systems/kits .. ring them and ask? (Yellow Pages ... let your fingers do the walking)
IMPCO is the manufacturer used by Mitsubishi for factory LPG Magna's .. give them a call on on 1800 462 250 to ask/check and find you nearest authorised installers?

In fact, http://www.lpgautogas.com.au/images/Vehicle%20Options%20Listing%2021Apr2006.pdf is exactly what you are looking for and according to this, it is an IMPCO system that you want/need that has passed the emissions testing.
