According to Tempe Tyre's Wheel Wizard you need +40 offset for 18's on a Magna.

dunno if this is accurate or not but it reckons +40 even for 20" rims

Ralliart-akko and Vrada - the offset has nothing to do with the diameter of the rims weather they're 15-20". Its the width of a rim that the offset relates to. it generally changes to better accomodat the whole width of the wheel in the arch so that it won't scrub on anything on the inside whilst still trying to keep it within the guard. i'm assuming that there'd be a different in offset from say a 6" wide rim to 8 or 9.5" to ensure that. i'll be speaking to bobjane tomorrow about an offset of 46+ to 50+ will see what the figure is for the 18x8s (dished) that i'll be getting and let u know :P but thanks heaps

Just careful dealing with them they gave me tyres with wrong profile AND load rating :gtfo:

yeah, exactly my point, he kept pushing the 225/35R20s and i was like nah man 235 at the least.
but he wouldnt budge, im thinking i may just try getting the wheels off them and thats all.
ALWAYS PAY CASH AT TEMPE... not getting into details, just only pay cash.

I have 8" wide on the back with a offset 50 and it scrubed real bad had to do some modification with a big hammer, from what i know the right offset is 38 for a 8" wide rim.

i got a +35 offset on my rims. 8.5" wide, no touching anywhere, not even on the trailing arm at the rear, even wit 4 ppl in the boot and 4 in the back seat it only rubs slightly.

Well i called bobjane and they told me that they didn't know the offset but ensured me that the new wheels would fit. But they'd be illegal unless my tyre placard lists an optional wheel of 7"wide from factory does anybody know if it lists it coz i'm at work right now  for a 98TF hmm maybe i could rip a placard of the vrx or something
grr might have to get an engineering certificate

you need to counter act the width of the tyre with the offset otherwise it will scrub.
