I have a lower control arm ball joint that has the boot torn on a TS V6 wagon. I need to replace the ball joint. Do I need to replace the lower control arm and ball joint as a unit or can I purchase the ball joint individually and fit it to the lower control arm myself.

If I have to buy the complete control arm how much will it cost and are ther after market suppliers or do I need to buy genuine. If I can fit the ball joint myself, where can I purchase this from and does anyone know the procedure for fitting ball joint to control arm. PS I have access to hydraulic press.

the ball joint can be purchased seperately, i goy one for $25 from scotts auto1, i have'nt changed it yet, but it looks like its only simple circlips holding it in
