Hi all,

Was looking into a possible future project, and just had some questions about engine mounts/gearbox etc.

Now, My colt has a 1600 saturn in it (yes its slow.)

From what i've researched so far:

The saturn is a 4G32.. if you look at post #7 in this link, http://www.aussiecarforum.com/viewtopic.php?printertopic=1&t=2743&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&vote=viewresult

and find this specific line.. In all honestly I would ditch the 1.6 saturn and put in a 2.6 Astron, straight bolt in and very good to modify.

Now this is where I need a bit of advice, if the astron fits in place of a saturn, and apparently a 4G63 motor (VR4?) fits into a magna.. can I fit a 4G63 in place of my 4G32.
Also what sort of performance can be gained from the 4G63.

Does anyone know of anyone putting a 2.0L turbo into a colt before?

Cheers guys, thanks all in advance for your input.

Tim.

What car was that pic from?

Also I found this.. seems like its actually a fair bit of work.. :p

Looks nice and stock though, might try to get in contact with the fellas that created that little beast. EDIT: Except for the cutout in the passenger side wheel arch...

Also where is the best place to start for an engine like that.. can I just buy an older cordia turbo and recon the motor??

Cheers guys,

Tim.

Wow that is an awesome colour engine bay..

Don't think I could fit an Astron in there.. I'll stick with the sirius range.

Ok well where do I get a 4G63, is it the same mount as a 1.6 cordia engine.. I'm considering getting an old blown up engine just to get all the mounts sorted. Also I'll need to do the brakes, considered some sigma discs.. I suppose they'd be slightly larger than the colt discs.. Anything anyone could recommend?

Cheers,

Tim.
