Was wondering if your speedo in the instrument cluster is way off, where could you bring it to get it adjusted? And roughly how much are we looking at? At a guess would be to bring it to Mitsubishi but are there alternatives? My mates speedo is reading way off, I think he removed the needle as he tried to do his EL dials. I am in WA btw so places to recommend would be great.

when u take the cluster apart its got some sort of allighment numbers at the top. like 1k=.00215rpm (dont quote on that number. thats jus an example) so if u take it to and auto elec or mitsi i belive thats wat they will be using to alligh the speedo. but it might be cheaper to get a secondhand cluster from the wreckers.
P.S u dont really need to take the needles out to put the gauges in. they should jus slide in.

If he has pulled it apart then he aint put it back together right..
If you have bigger wheels there is a box you buy that cost you $400 to correct your speedo as the rolling diameter is now differant..:D

Like said not my speedo problem lol. Yeah I knew it would F it up so when I done my EL dials I did not remove any needles. Having bad enough that leds have a bad connection thighy that caused me lots of time wasted. It will be a wasted Cluster though, I was just wondering does it cost a lot to adjust it?

It cost me $90 for a guy here in Ballarat to check and adjust mine.;) It took him a couple of hours. I found his ad in the yellow pages under speedos, but I also rang the local vicroads office who referred me to a place that replaces speedos and they actually told me to ring the guy I took it to. Hope this helps.:)

Thanks, I do not have a good memory to remember a thousand over threads. lol
Yeah but now I remembered. $90.00, hmm no wonder people suggested getting another cluster but it may cost more also and worse if the cluster doesnt work. I guess its worth considering. Was yours already off from the car as in just giving them the cluster or did you hand in your car and let them do the adjustments? Just asking as its not my cluster but my friends and I can easily just send in the cluster to them saving cost on having them to taking apart from the car. Anyway I see how much is it here in Perth to do it.

The cluster is/was/still is in the car.:D I left it with him because he needed to drive it to check it with his meter (pulled the cluster out slightly) and then adjust it and drive it again to check that it was correct. I wasn't there the whole time, but saw how he did it all when I went to pick it up and it wasn't ready because he was so busy and watched him put it all back together - just like changing a bulb.;)

Oh...so it means you need the blody car to test it. Thought it would be easy for them to adjust accordingly. Oh well he will list it on Ebay then. Thanks for your replys guys.
