ok ok the geek is gona help you out here. DO NOT do this at the cruise, although these are completely different devices the same theory should apply. We have a lan which involves people bringing their computers sitting down and gaming (bout 400 people) and i would have to say that a fair amount of 'device' trouble happens when people install things on the day and have no running in time to sort out any problems, plus the fact you dont have many tools and you dont have any other devices to help you diagnose problems.
so these people get there install a new item then run into trouble , well you might say that they can just replace the device and go on well thats true in some instances but not always.
sure teach him on the day what to do (as well as label everything to easily go back) but dont risk having to go to the mechanics and have your car out of action for the enjoyable parts of the cruise.

sorry fysh - you are correct, i wouldn't attempt the change over with out the proper tools and parts, though it is not a hard changeover to do.
and we can show you what needs to be done, where and how.

Sorry, the T/B will not be changed outduring any of the meets though if it hasn't been done. we can help show you what will need to be done.

you will need a Phillips screw driver, a 10mm and a 12 mm socket, small extension and ratchet. A TB gasket, pair of pliers and that should about do it.
One tip, make sure the motor is cool, remove the radiator cap and release any small amount of pressure left. Put it back on and remove the coolan hoses. This way you will not loose mch at all.
Also get some proper hose clamps and replace the TB coolant hose clamps while you are there.
On Madmagna there is adescription for the TR/s, TE on is not much different
