elo,new to this,after changing my auto,(old one was going kaput)tr wagon 2.5 efi, i have noticed that the whine which was in the old box,is still there,ive now been told that this could be front wheel hub bearings,repco gave price at $141 PER SIDE,IF THATS RIGHT OK,SO ,HAS ANY ONE DONE THIS ,changing wheel bearings was always easy,not so according to to the work-shop manual,the noise i get is only when i put the foot down,ease off and it stops,cant understand ,every thing works fine,auto does every thing that it should,fluid is red,changind up and down is fine ,now i dont exspect a perfect car,but this gives me the craps,where the hell is this whine coming from????,bearings ,drive shafts?????? ANY ONE HELP OUT THERE,DONT WANT TO REPLACE BEARINGS THEN FIND OUT ITS SOME THING ELSE,

Did you change the torque converter when you replaced the box or did you use the old one?
is it a melot or a shiraz sort of wine... he he he. Sorry about that.. but someone would have done it sooner or later.

Usually whines of the type you mention are to do wiv the differential, but i have read that some people have had a whine from the converter after they have flushed it.
