View Full Version : More Dealerships......
There will be 5 new Mitsubishi dealers in Melbourne by the end of the year. Does that sound like a company closing the doors? G.M Mr Rob McEniry says we can sell a lot more cars in Melbourne with more representation. One of our better metroplitian dealers would be doing 80-100 cars a month. You can do the sums if we have five more...umh yet to be proved, but at least going to have ago might be a bit late (drop price, series 2, more dealerships, bringing back 4 cyls to attract more fleet sales) they just cant get seem to it right first up....

Funny thing is a lot of the dealerships have closed down over the last 3 or 4 years in Melbourne, maybe they should have just kept the ones they had.

... or in the case of Elizabeth St in city, they closed even before they opened..!?!
Cnr Elizabeth & Queensberry, opposite City Toyota & Lexus.
They painted up the shopfront and put up new signs etc etc... then all gone.

Rob McEniry is convinced Mitsubishi made a mistake when it slashed its dealer force in the two biggest markets in Australia and he wants to rebuild the brand's following with some high-profile appointments who can do the big numbers... (The 380 brand new model and they close Dealerships this is what i cant understand, On who's orders authorised these closures? A trained Monkey would do a better job running MML.)

Dealerships are franchises in most cases, pretty simply, the franchisee decided not to renew their licence to sell Mitsubishi cars. Most were not closed down, most decided to part company with the Mitsubishi brand.
