May be a dumb question but the 380 VRX is listed as having 8 speakers.

I can vouch for 2 in front dash (tweaters), 2 in bottom of front doors (?mid-range?), 2 in back parcel shelf (supposed to be base I guess but utter crap).

Where are the other 2?? Are there actually 2 more behind the covers in the front doors??? Making the number in the doors 4??

Its been bugging me

I think you will find the two on the parcel shelf are 2-ways.

The rears will be 2-way 6x9's or something. They class those as 2 speakers each.

My guess would be that the ones in the back parcel shelf would be 2 way ones. That would count for the "8" speakers.

Ahh, makes sense. Thanks.

So I assume that in the 6 speaker models they loose the "2 way" rear ones and retain the front tweaters and door mounts?

Thanks for clearing this up. I have a friend who is looking at a base model and asked me what the difference in the stereo was to mine. Apart of course from the single vs 6 in dash player.

It's possible, but in all the other cars I've seen is the front tweeters are gone in the base models.
