Is my "Throttle Body Switch" the same as my "Idling Speed Motor"? I really need to know if its the same or their 2 different things coz Ultra Tune wants to replace the Idling Speed Motor, but I recently put a new Throttle Body switch. Is it the same or Different. If it's different can someone tell me why they are different and where is it located. Thanks.

erm, what's with the doc file extension?!

But yeah, the throttle position switch is different from the idle speed controller (ISC). From how I understand it, the throttle switch determines whether you have any throttle applied (ie. accelerator), whereas the ISC regulates your idle speed when no throttle is applied (ie. foot off accelerator).

Are ultratune SURE the ISC is faulty? If you replaced the throttle switch, did you calibrate it correctly? 'Cause I'm thinking that if the switch isn't activating, the ISC won't(?) turn on, idle speed may be too low, and the car will die.

What are the symptoms?
