Hey Guys I'm New Have Been Cruise'n In A Tn Carby 2.6l For Bout 2yrs But It Was Heading Down Hill So I've Got The Engine Out And I'm Rebuilding It Myself At The Moment. I Wanna Do Anything I Can Now While Ive Got The Donk Out And Cant Decide On What To Do And What Is Possible I Dont Really Want Turbo Thinking Supercharge Or Webber. Dunno What Webbers Are Like Either. And I Dunno If I Can Supercharge It Any Input Would Be Much Appreciated. What Have Others Done With The Astron Ii 2.6l Carby.

shaved the heads, port and polish so the head flow better, hader psitons, find a head off a 1996 ts 4cly its got better compression and a few small gains, mild cam- piggy back ecu, extractors bore it out a little. thats it for off the top of my head for now. onlt suggestions there but.

ok while its out port and polish the intake manifold to get rid of any casting marks.
do the same to clean up the intake ports on the head.
get a balance shaft deletion kit, ive never done it myself, my engine was done for me but its worthwhile doing as if will save trouble down the road.
if your keeping your head, have it rebuilt with a stage 2 camshaft and heavy duty valve springs. this will give a slightly lumpy idle, slight loss of low rpm torque but quite good mid and top end power.
definatly get a weber 32/36 or 34adm or get a holley 350(although you will sacrifice fuel economy for a little more power)
