well having owned a few maggies in my time i am well aware of the 2 speed 4speed interior fan - however ahving said that mine was working swimmingly well up until a few weeks ago where it the all of a sudden reverted back to the 2 speed fan we all know so well, but with a difference - for some reason the A/C will work on 1 &2 but not 3 & 4. Does anyone else have this problem or am i alone? If so how did you end up fixing it because its really annoying haveing the A/C only working on what are only described as pointless fan speeds

p.s. When i turn the fan up from 2 to 3 a "white mist" appears to come out the vents - i ahve no idea if this is realated but i have only noticed it since this started happening...

white mist is ok it means the inside temp of the car is lower than the air con

Like i said it only appeared for a few seconds so that isnt knackered at least


4 speed it must be an elete, fan switch has a resistor (get to it from under the glovebox ) --- that might be faulty

its an SE but its got all the power pack so im assuming its the same specs, i will look for it, are the any tell-tale signs its stuffed? Where do i get a replacement one and how much are they approx?
