is it possible to connect an ipod shuffle to a head unit (pioneer DEH-P5550) as the shuffle does not have the usual ipod dock, instead it uses a usb connection. Anyone know??

cheers

does ur headunit have an AUX input?
Or even a spare set of RCA's?

use the headphone jack on the shuffle to connect to the CD player via one of those 2

does it have an aux-in on it??

if it does just find a 3.5mm audio jack - RCA and plug it in the back.

doubt it very much, only input on most pioneer decks is the iP-bus but thats got the av plugs on the other end, might wanna look into the new range of jvc headunits and also clarion i think as they have usb ports on them, but they cost a bit so it would have to be somethin your super keen on

i got a pioneer aux cable on ebay for $10 + 6 postage (US$) - got it here within a week. It connects to the back of the head unit where you would normally connect the CD stacker (so you wont be able to use a cd-stacker with this). You can then enable the aux connection on the head units settings and it should be right. If you do have a CD stacker, there is a more expensive cable that still lets you use the stacker + an aux input - it will auto switch depending on weather a signal is coming into the aux.
