I am looking at getting some after market brake rotors
for the front of my 99 TH exec. non abs
Can anybody suggest a brand of rotor and model number.
Also suggest a brake pad.
I have already been to the DBA site (www.discpads.com.au)
to look up a rotor but the correct choice of rotor was not
clear to me. So I e-mailed them and they told me to
"try" such 'n' such item number.
If I e-mail them ,I don't want to be told to "try" a product
number, I want them to tell me which one is right for my car.

if you want a full upgrade then go ebc slotted and dimpled. try to avoid crossdrilled, even though many will recomend them. with ebc green stuff pads, these will pull you up in a heartbeat!. do a search on their website for the diamantes numbers. i think they compare them to the bendix parts so would be good to know that.

the ABS is a sensor attached to the caliper - if you don't have it it doesnt matter - the rotor has nothing to do with the electrics of the ABS and will fit anyways.

Though i recommend just slotted and not Cross drilled as the cross drilling will eat your pads quicker.

yeah the dimpled/slotted EBC's are a nice happy medium between cross drilled and just slotted.

Word of warning unless you are using EBC rotors don't use EBC brake pads as all the other rotors especially DBA will warp and crack with them. The technology of DBA is not up to par with EBC and don't handle the rotors.

also consider if you are replaceing rotors and calipers RPW has brake upgrade kits as well as rotors stock and improved and stocks EBC brake pad as well.

WE can do caliper to a twin piston upgrade with stock rotor or the big brake upgrade to 295mm rotors and twin piston calipers which are liek on my tt magna - amazing brake improvement.

So back to my original question where can I get these green stuff pads, pref in Melbourne or sydney as I do not believe in paying via COD post.

they are currently building a new site so there dealer details are down. i remember there were a few in vic but cant remember the names. you can still download the product catalogue for part no.s, or just buy them through rpw.

I put DBA Slotted on the front of my TH and in my opinion my stopping power is f/n incredable.
