hello all. i was very happy when my parents decided to give me their TH Si, but then i found out that their plans were to put it on gas for me aswell. i was just wondering if putting subs in a boot that has a gas tank will end up with an enormous fireworks display. if anyone has a gas tank and subs let me know cause i reaaly want to put a pair of subs in the new car, and i am hoping this gas tank wont shatter the dream.

Oh that would be attracktive lol :P
I dont think it could do any harm.... you can get small lpg tanks (about 60l) that go down where the spare tyre is, and then you mount the spare tyre in some weird arse spot in the boot. That might be better, that way you can just get some boot carpet to put over the spare tyre and mount it in your boot as part of your boot install display.
Alternativly..... just tell that that you heard the price of lpg is going to double before christmas.
:shifty: :shhhh: lol

I wouldn't worry, my mate has a LPG tank in the boot with 2x 15" Kenwood subbies and this thing pulls over 140db :D

Disaster will occur when there are a couple of occurences:
1) you have an LPG leak.. no matter how minor.
2) you have a loose wire connection that causes spark, and you are not using a fully sealed sub box.
So just get ur LGP checked every so often for leaks, and i would advise using fully sealed sub boxes, and you should be right.

LPG is safer than petrol in a car.
LPG tanks are heavily reinforced, unlike petrol tanks.
Even in a crash and car fire the lpg tank will very rarely (if ever) explode. They have safety switches on them to prevent accidents too. But in a petrol crash, the fuel tank can easily be punctured.
All the really bad stories you hear with lpg are from dodgy backyard jobs... All Australian standards installed systems are very safe as long as you get them checked at their regular intervals.
It is a myth that LPG systems are unsafe in comparison to petrol. So rest easy.
