hey all, what do ya think of the tail lights, did the middle bit above the numberplate aswell

Looks nice man, but wats it like with the lights on??? If its too dark, ull be in for a handful with the boys in blue.

yeah i decided not to do those bits because i thought that the cops will look at the lights and see that the middle part is the same and so they will think nothing of it. they have been tinted since good friday and the cops have been right behind me so many times and not said anything. but i still shat myself everytime:redface:

A good mod would be to color code the number plate backing...so thats white, but i reckon tint the grey bits.....if the cops have seen the lights these 2 grey bits wont entice them much more.

But ye color code the number plate backing it'll look the shiz!

meh it doesnt matter cause that car is going soon and im getting a TH Si. i was actually thinkin about takin that part where the number plate is off and putting a peice of aluminium checkerplate there instead but doin this was cheaper:D

i did the same on my tr but i painted the whole boot garnish and just left the chrome strips, it looks mad. Ive had no trouble with the fuzz either!

If the lights are too dull/dark after tinting - try LED Bulbs - I found they make the BRAKE lights much brighter.

where can u get the LED bulbs from?I got mine from an Auto Electrician in Ballarat. he said he was getting the amber ones for the indicators as well but so far no luck.

In the third pic on the right, link below for pic, - don't be fooled by the CE mark, what matters in motor compliance is an E mark, this must be on the bulb body, if it doesn't have this - it will not comply with ADR51.

SOME LED bulbs are 'less than bright', this is improving. It is for now though a bit of a hit and miss affair. Try and test the product first.
