G'Day, I am thinking of removing the spoiler from my magna. Does anyone know how to fix the problems associated with this (i.e. the holes)

u have to get the holes filled up. ull need to take it to a panal beater and they will do it for u.

Find someone with the same colour car, without a spolier, and see if someone wants to swap?!

Im pretty sure when i saw bains car he had filled up the holes with little plugs.

Might wanna ask him where he got them from.

u can get those plastic plugs that are used in cars to secure plastics and carpet in cars.

U can buy packs of like 6 from Autobarn. Just get a pack that is a close colour to your car, or buy any colour, then a touch up paint that matches your car to colour them.

When i got my KH, I did the same thing for the front number plates, because i have 4 letter plates, that are smaller, and left a whole either side of the plates.

Plugged them with grey colour plugs. That looked fine, but i decided to colour code them anyway.

when i baught my car, i had the dealer swap the bootlid from a car with no spoiler for mine..

Mate, im sure if you went to a Mitsu car yard, they'd be more then happy to do a swap over, provided you either did all the work, or gave them a slab or something....

When asking, re-inforce to them how adding a spoiler to a stock car could improve its looks / value as its classed as an extra !

When i took the spoiler off my TJ VRX i got the little grommits from repco to fill the whole till i decided what i wanted to do.. Cost me about $10-12 as you will need three differant sizes and the grommits came in a pack of 4.. There will be 5 holes. the ones closest to the back are the smallest and then the next two are bigger.. then there is a really big one(nearly big enough to put your thumb in) that the wiring goes through.. has to fit the plug to thats why its bigger..

I was luck as my car is black so it hid the grommits well for the three days i had it like that...

P.S. get the grommits a tad bigger and make sure they are a nice tight fit as that will stop any water getting in the boot..

Oh and to get it fixed will cost you between $200-500.. depending. bog or weld..:P i welded.

If your gonna use the plugs silicon them in, cause then wont ever leak and they are still easy to pull out.

VRXs/GTVs/Sports dont have the rear windscreen brake lamp, only spoiler

I've been considering getting mine removed as i think the VR-X looks hot de-winged, but im a bit worried about reversing into something.
The boot drops away quite severly when you're looking from the cabin out.

Plus the wing blocks the car lights behind you at night.

Yeah, it has its advantages. I haven't been blinded from behind (shutup) the whole time in the vrx. Eventually everyone will have no wing, and it'll come back in fashion. Kinda keeps the sporty look to it.
