hi people does anyone know if i should leave my original cold air front section on when i put on my new filter on i have seen a photo of a k&n pod filter with the front section of the original air setup still on.would it make any difference.

Won't make a difference if you leave it on or not... You might aswell leave it there though, you might get a trickle of cold air pushing through at 140km/h and above

or u can keep the box and pull the snorkel out and insert a flexi pipe to it and drop the other end of the pipe underneath it. so u'll get air from the bottom of ur car:think:

I've got 100mm pipe, cut the front of the air box to accept it. On the QLD dyno day, me and Daz_V6_Si, who also has a manual TL his being a VR and with a K&N filter but stock snorkel set up both had 169hp at the wheels. The intake bettered my fuel economy alot, but power wise it did nothing, made the intake noisy, sounded good.
