Howdy,
I blew 2 flex pipes over a few months (i think one has gone again:cry: ) and for some reason i got a really gay time out at the runs a while ago.
Narrowed it down to the engine mounts. I sent old mate Megatron a PM and got a new front and rear poly mounts. The side one was done by the previous owner and thats and RPW one. Installed on thursday but the roads weren't dry till yesterday night.
Wow what a difference!! In 1st and 2nd when u give it a boot around peak torque, well anywhere over 3,500RPM its really really responsive and power delivery is way better. Once your going there is no difference of course. Well worth the $220 for the pair!!
Downside is there is a little vibration at idle, but my care factor is 0
Go grab yourself a set!

Hardly a modification is it :doubt:
:D just thought I'd point that out :D
Glad you found fixed your problem (not that I knew you were having one). Who'd of thought engine mounts would make such a difference. Speaking of which - how much difference did it make? what were these "bad runs" you had?

14.3 at 95mph. Very slow even if a lot of people were impressed, but i was annoyed especially seeing this car has run a 14.006 before

You will find the vibrations disappear after a while. When i changed one of them (One still to go which is actually the worst one) the vibrations through the steering wheel was bad. However a few weeks later i didn't notice anymore and it sort of settled. I think the rubber settles in or gets a little softer after a few punishing runs, and its all good :)
Speaking of which, i have to replace my damn drivers side one. Rubber is torn all the way around. And its been like this for around 9 months. hahahaha :D But yeah, those engine mounts are great

So what your saying is the reason why the flex pipes broke is from excess engine movement due to broken mounts..???
Its to early for me..?
So the engine mounts are giving you more power.. is that what your saying..???
How does that happen..

no the engine mounts arent giving him more power, the broken engine mounts and flex were losing power so by fixing all that he is getting the most power out of the engine to the wheels
