since having my car the ariel as always been snapped off
so today decided to buy an electrical one so it goes up by itself for $80. so i get home and take out a piece of metal only to find i already have an electric one :D but i just need the main shaft for the ariel as the motor and stuff still works, mistu wants $90 just for the little ariel bit :?

go to super cheap take back the other one i just bought and they said would be bout $60 ?

any one know where i can get one cheaper ?? would be much appriciated, im gonna try the wreakers but they never have stuff for a 98 tf

if the arial got snapped off cos of it being up all the time maybe it was cos it had a ceased motor?? for the $60 i would have kept the whole new thing and just put that in instead.

yeah - parts are not cheap for them and I wouldn't know how to replace the arial part so sorry!!

and electric arials are one of the best things ever invented i reckon!! haha

nah some one snapped it off while it was up.
it still works fine just no shaft

to replace wouldnt be too bad, just get my mate to do it(auto electrican)

If you get the shaft they are real easy to fit. Turn on the radio, sit the shaft in and have someone turn it off. THis gets repeated several times until the shaft is located properly.

Aerpro make a replacement electric aerial mast for your model. Last I checked they sell for about $35.. Genuine one you are looking at ~$70 unless you can buy at trade price.

installation is pretty easy

hook in the ariel plug, hook in the red wire to the battery, the colour one, either green or yellow into the back of ya head deck there is a wire for it, and then ground the black wire.

the unit just hangs there on mine as its screwed down from the outside. works great :D

supercheap wants between $80 and $120 for the motorised antenna's and they didnt have the one for the magna anyways .... for that much money ill stick with the manual one :lol:

the universal $80 from super cheap works and fits

The standard one (TJ magna) is $109 at the dealers - may as well get genuine at this price - suprising...
