Since I got my 18's put on, the rear tyres have been rubbing on the suspension somewhere. Only happens when I turn sharply, go up weird angle entrances or have some extra weight in the car (like a few passengers)
About 2 weeks before I got the rims put on I had both my rear struts replaced (replaced with genuine Koni Red Struts) Would this have anything to do with it? And would I need to get new springs or something? Kinda starting to annoy me now...
You all know what ride I have, if not, check my profile.
Cheers for any help.

Annoying rubbing --see your doctor :bowrofl:
all i can think of is the body is too loose and with the shift of weight its rolling a wee too much
have to do more research for a better answer for you
That's kinda what I was already thinking... Maybe some stiffer springs and a strut brace or something... Are the Koni Red Struts decent?

My wheels are to big and my car is to low.. only drama i have is that it hits the top of the back wheel arces when i have weight in the car..
There is only three things it could be touching.. one is hitting the suspension arm above the wheel and bottoming out on the body but by looking at your profile pic you got another 6 inchs before that happens..
The other is your flares and guards..have you trimmed your flares or rolled your guards..???
if thats a no, get down next to the car and look under the the guards at the flares and see if there is any marks or signs of rubbing.. that where most of it happens..
Like you said it happens when you go in some driveways, so lets say it happens on the same driveway everytime.. when it starts to rub stop the car on the spot and get someone to have a look around the car to see if wheels are touching anything.. Its hard to do by yourself as if you get out of the car it will move as you reduce the cars weight.. but you can look to see whats very close to touching if you are by urself..
Good luck:D

I'm 99.9% sure it's the tyre hitting the suspension arm whenever the tyre is raised because when I put my hand in behind the tyre towards the body of the car there's stuff all clearance there, maybe like 2cm.

2 cm is heaps.. i got about 4-5mm clearance on my shocks and it dont.. what tire pressure you running..??
Maybe be add lots more air and see if it rubs then.. :D

36psi front and rear according to the little Bob Jane T-Mart sticker. Have you got stock springs tho? Because mine are stock... maybe they're too squishy?
my ralliart does it as well, well since the coilovers went in,although my cars not that low. But when i got my 19's the place said i would be better off with 225's rather than 235's so if the car is lowered there is a lot less chance of rubbing

Stock springs and bigger wheels = guard rubbing even though it looks like u got miles, damn jelly!
Get it lowered with much stifffer springs and won't do it.
If its not a guard problem forget what im dribbling here :P

I can't go any lower otherwise I won't be able to get in and out of my own driveway. Might need to get stiffer springs or something.

haha i know what you mean, this is 1 of the reasons i went for coilovers, so if its to low i can just make it higher. my driveway is fair crazy steep and turns. i get 2 wheels off the ground going up, (thank god for the LSD).
but it is amazing what you can get up if you have to
