ok, my problem is that sometimes when i'm driving and go to indicate right, the indicator flashes about twice as fast as normal. it doesn't happen all the time though, sometimes it does and most of the time it doesn't, it's just random.
i've checked to see if the front (right) indicator is working when this happens, and only the rear and side work, not the front.
i know this can happen if you have a blown globe, but i know it's not blown because it works most of the time.
so i'm thinking that there is a corroded/loose/etc. connection somewhere.
does anyone know what my problem might be?
i was going to take the indicator out and look to see if the connections are ok, but i couldn't get it out. do you need to remove the headlight as well or am i just missing something?
by the way, it's a '94 2.6L TR
big thanks to anyone who can help before i get pulled over while my indicator isn't working...

Sometimes the globe can actually be blown and still work occasionally. if the filament is broken but still resting on a contact it will work until you hit a bump the wrong way and bounce off, and thus you will get the indicator flashing fast.
My advice would be to replace that globe to start with as it's either pretty close to stuffed, or it it :)

:stoopid:
Change all globes and get back to us. front and rear indicators and side. probably one of them is about to go.

well i had a indicator go on me 2 days ago. now i pulled it out and the fliment wasnt broken and there was no blackness in the bulb, so it looked fine. but i spent the $2.50 for 2 new ones and it was working fine after that. so shell out the $2.50 and if it still dosent work come back and let us know and we'll all do our best for ya.

Check you aren't leaking blinker fluid on the right hand side of the car (look for a small yellow puddle - could be blinker fluid, or your car got visited by the local dog) Ahem.
Seriously - you probably have a dead bulb - replace all of them, they cost stuff all, and having working bulbs stops people from running up the back of you. Keep the best looking one as a spare 'just in case'.

as i said before, i had a quick go at removing the indicator so i could get to the globe, but i'm not sure how it comes out.
can anyone tell me how to remove the indicator, and thus get to the globe to replace it.

ok, so i probably need to replace one or more globes, but i'm still unsure of how to actually remove the indicator. do i need to remove the whole headlight assembly to get the indicator out or what?
