Today i had power and rca's ran from my headunit. Im planning to amp front splits and a sub off of an amp shortly, only issue is apparantly my head unit only had one pre out. Does this matter? Will it effect anything?
Sorry guys in a bit of a noob when it comes to this stereo stuff.

Depending on what options your amp has no it shouldnt be a problem. Worst case you wont be able to turn the sub up and down.
Before I go into it, what amp have you got, or do you plan on getting?
4 channel I assume...
Sub control? (A remote to contol the sub level at the amp)
RCA pass through?
links?

Well i havnt decided on a amp as of yet, im not really worried about sub controll as i plan to upgrade my headunit somewhere along the line. Can you recomend me a good amp for about err $300-400.

Response (Jaycar) 4x130Wrms amp would fit the bill in that price range.

There are ways to split an RCA output into two.
Also, if your amp takes speaker level input then that's another option.
Jaycar amps are good bang-for-buck. One of the few brands I'd buy over ebay, anything else you run the risk of being counterfeit. With a bit more cash you can get something better, but that's true for anything.

Can you recomend me a supplier on these? Or is ebay the best option?

Ebay is by far the best, you usually save 1/4 of the RRP by buying off ebay.....just make sure its a reputable buisness!

imo, go to jay car direct. that was you have somewhere to go to if it doesn't work. I'd only buy electronics from e-bay if there was a store you could go to aswell. Although the amp is in lower price bracket (as far as amps are concerned) keep in mind you stilll are spending 200-400 $$, and noone wants to waste that kinda money - cept really really rich people :P

Yep, its just a matter of personal preference weather or not ou like to buy electronics off ebay.
Some members and people in general dont mind buying goods off ebay but some people are very cautious...which is tottally normal.
I just did a bit of research into this amp when i got it and there was no sign that there was a new faulty batch out, or that there was fakes going around, so i got it off ebay. You have to be careful however of some brands like focal which have been copied and sold on ebay.
Just gotta do a bit of research
i got one of those 4x100w response amps... reasonably good... makes my pioneer 12" rattle everything with 3/4 bridged... and channels 1 & 2 run my pioneer front splits quite well. i only have one set of rca preouts and i can control sub volume cos the remote gain is on channels 3 & 4.
