I just filled up my TP auto wagon tonight when it finnally click it said i'd put 71 litres in:sook: , i'm trying to find out what everyone else gets and if you have a manual or handbook please quote you findings

Sedan has a 64L tank, wagon has a 74L tank... from memory... but i can vouch for a 64L tank in sedans, when i swapped my fuel tank over, the replacement was bone dry and i reckon i got about 64L into it

must've been expensive! ive been trying to avoid that (as well cos petrol gauge stuffed)

Max fill I've ever done was 74.5L, by then fuel pump was just about running dry
& surging when accelerating hard or turning left corners.

Fuel guage never accurate for long time, empty telltale light broke long before that.
I always filled full then ran by the odo... about 600-650 when car was new,
dropped to about 500km/tank when older (O2 probably gone, running rich).

I put half a tank of fuel in for our Ballarat-Melbourne-Ballarat trip on the weekend and that was about 37 litres, so I'll take a wild guess and say my 97TF Wagon has a 74 litre tank.;)

i had a look into my tank when i changed it over... there is baffles in the tank, and where the pump sits, it seems to always collect there... also the return to the tank is dumped into that section of the tank where the pump is...

I've had 77L from a reading on a BP pump, this was back when fuel was 93.9c
so i suspect a faulty pump number, manuals states it to be a 74L capacity with a 1L capacity in the funnel leading to.
