Hi All, Hate my first post to be a problem, but here goes, I yanked the head off for a look and its toast, 2.6 EFI Engine, head is cracked on all 4 chambers between the valves. I have a TP Head that is good, came off a EFI engine, now my question is, Are they the same cam?, My cam has serious wear on it and I really wanna use the TP cam for obvious reasons. Anyone know ? I am assuming rocker gear is same same.
Cheers

Yeah I'm 90% sure that they're the same head. A quick way to check would be to compare bores and that the dowels line up.
that's the common place to crack in these heads is between the valves... my heads done it, many people i know... it's the same story.
only difference between gen1 (m1-m4) head and the gen2 (m5-m7) head was roller rockers and different shaped combustions chambers... short answer, the head will work. long answer, the head will work, but at a loss of a little (i mean little, like almost probably not noticeable) bit of power cos different compression, rocker gear, etc... ecu wont care about what head your running on the motor either.

Hi All, Thanks heaps for the replies. So I can just slap this TP head on, cam and all ? After checking the block and head for trueness?. Damn these things are just like a gsxr, everything fits everything. LOL

yep, that'll be fine :) should work no dramas
as for everything fits everything... we wacked a magna head on a sigma motor, now we have a fuel-injected GK sigma GSR... (the dude who owns it is emtark on these forums)

The Cam profiles are slightly different between the first gen and second gen but probably not noticable
